More successful inks in their raw, uncorrected form:In the background of a panel, behind a hedge drawn with the stub pen, who do we see but tiny Jack and Iowa. This drawing, made with the F nib Lamy Safari with the red body (an old favorite now reserved strictly for inking finished work) and an obstreperous Rotring ArtPen with a particularly nice EF nib and a nasty slow leak, is about 1 1/2 inches tall. I certainly won’t claim it’s the best or most on-model drawing I’ve ever made of Kekionga’s romantic leads, but it somehow manages to capture their relationship perfectly.
