minicomics live 5– post 39 (page 12 inks)

The spotted moose walks!garagesale-page12-inksAnd he walks right on out of this comic.  I want to thank everyone who advised me to flip the art for this page. It looks much better this way.  I’m not 100% happy with the moose shading, but I don’t want to go any further until I take the pencil out, delete the “bad leaf” on the large shrub, and figure out the pattern on Gideon’s dressing gown.  All of these will affect the pattern of light and dark across the page and help determine how far I want to push the shading on both the moose drawings.

This will be the last “Garage Sale” post for a few days.  I’m juggling two projects right now (more about the second one very soon) , plus working through my regular preparations for SPX, and this minicomic, which is going to be produced entirely in house, can wait a little while.  It will definitely be on the table in Maryland in (Augh!) two weeks’ time, and I will post the finished pages as they come off the boards.  It’s going to be a long two weeks.  This was probably a bad time to try a minicomics live , but I enjoyed doing it, and I like the story that came out of it very much.

Thank you very much to everyone who followed along and provided comments, suggestion and encouragement.  Minicomics live will return.

It is a good story. And I’ve just made my travel arrangements for SPX, so I look forward to purchasing a copy from you in person.

  2. Pam Bliss says:

Looking forward to seeing you, too. I’ll have a few new minicomics, and a little collection, and a selection of classics and favorites.
