a visit to historic italia

No wonder Italy is such an interesting place.  Watch out, Stromboli!historicitalia(Placemat sketch, Italian restaurant division.  It’s times like this that I wish I could get into the habit of carrying one of those little Sharpie pens along with my regular ballpoints– this would have worked better with a pure black line.  And a little bit more time.)

I once used a regular Sharpie on a placemat drawing. Unfortunately, the ink bleed through the placemat and I left some black stains on the tabletop.I felt so guilty I didn’t return to the restuarant for a month or so..

Oh, Tom, that sounds familiar. There’s a Steak and Shake (the placemat sketch capital) where I probably still owe money after a similar incident. That’s the nice thing about the little Sharpie pen– it is very difficult to get one to soak through even a fairly thin piece of paper. You can do it, but it takes effort.

These pens are quite amazing for the price. Thanks for the idea– I think am going to devote a blog post to the Sharpie pen quite soon.

This is like one of those “here be dragons” maps from the old days. Except this is “here be doodles”.

  4. Pam Bliss says:

“Here be doodles”– this is the world that I live in!
